Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift

Its rubbish really. The story is pathetic and the set pieces are unbelievable (the Japanese Yakuza settling a problem with some punk kid by having a car race? I dont think so), but the only reason you would go to see this film is for the cars anyway and the races all look great. It was as fun to watch as the other two, possibly even better than #2 and there is a nice surprise at the end for fans of the series.

If you are wanting some great acting, a heart wrentching story and some brilliantly detailed drama, then this isnt for you. If you want Japanese girls in short skirts driving customised sports cars then I think you'll love it.

The Wolfman : Camp and pretty daft film TBH and it's quite slow moving in places too.Yet somehow I seem to have quite enjoyed it ?.It's not everyone's cup of tea,but if fancy yourself up for some old school Hammer Horror then you might actually find it to be a bit of daft fun ?.Gets a 7/10 from me.

I have to agree with that. Saw it a few months back at the cinema because mates wanted to go and it just wasn't funny. I don't think there was more than maybe one or two jokes that made me so much as smile. It turned into a fairly poor romcom.

In terms of decent films I've watched recently, I saw half of A Prophet last night before MegaVideo timed out and I went to sleep instead of wait the hour. A very good prison drama, and a nice gritty film. I've heard comparisons to Shawshank, but have to say that's nothing but a superficial reference to both films being set in a prison.

Role Models was a good comedy, with Paul Rudd and Stifler. I found it funnier than other Apatow films, and although it features mostly the same cast the jokes seem to be different to his usual gags and as a comedic storyline it's decent. Up there with Pineapple Express and Superbad, definitely

The Invention Of Lying : Found Ricky Gervais latest offering to be a pretty lame excuse for a comedy TBH 5/10.

The House Of The Devil : Fun horror film which does a fantastic job of recreating an 80's experience.It really looks and feels like you are watching a film from this era.Builds up the tension really well and is worth a watch IMO just for being a little bit different from the usual run of the mill stuff 7.5/10.

Last night, I watched a film called Live! It was about some head of programming for an American TV network trying to and succeeding in getting a game show of Russian roulette on the air live. Dull for the most part, gets better towards the end and then felt the ending was rushed.

Recently watched a film called Triangle.It's a thriller made by Christopher Smith who directed Creep & Severance.Never heard anything about it and all I will give away is that it was nothing at all like I was expecting.You need to concentrate in it but I thought it was really good.Had me thinking for a couple of days after seeing it.Its a bit wierd,but found it quite intriguing.It's out on DVD/Blu Ray 1st March in the UK (US Blu Ray is region locked BTW).It's not a film for everyone but I would recommend sticking it on your rental lists and giving it a try.

I saw Max Payne and Rain Man this weekend.

Max Payne didn't do anything for me. Having played the game, the story in the film just felt watered down and altered to the point where I didn't feel like it was Max Payne. Just some random film with the same name as a game.

I did enjoy Rain Man though. Never seen it before.

At the weekend I watched The Boat That Rocked and Layer Cake, enjoyed them both. The BOat That Rocked was more amusing than I thought it would be.

Funny People 6.5/10 : Wasn't what I was expecting at all.At 2 1/2 hours long thought it was too long for a start.It's a big change in direction for Judd Apatow (Superbad,40 Year Old Virgin) as I would say it's more of a drama than a comedy really.Problem I found with it was I felt it couldn't make it mind up which it wanted to be.Certainly a more grown up affair then Apatow's other work (and 95% of Adam Sandlers as well) but I wouldn't say its a film for everyone.

Well i just saw Dragonball Evolution and I can't believe how bad it is, they really did not make it anything like Dragonball, makes you wonder if they had even seen the show before.

On that basis, it gets a 4. There is a mild form of entertainment to be had from watching it, but do not buy or even spend money on renting, when it is on TV, consider watching it.
