All those Flood just running at you its immense. At the moment im on the last bit with that massive 3km drive to the ship in a Warthog.
Great is all I can say now I see why its rated so highly.
And Soul Calibur 2 isn't rubbish, just shallow and boring.
It's utter ****.
Now Jon Bum Bogey - that's pure cack, right there. Please make your comparisons less offensive next time. If Halo was Jovi, then Master Chief wouldn't get anywhere because he'd trip over his poodle-perm mullet.
> Soul Calibur 2 was rubbish.
Finally, someone with sense. Give me Killer Instinct any day. Damn, you've reminded me of the prospect of Killer Instinct 3.
I want it so much.
Halo 2's going to open with 'Living on a Prayer'! :P
Bon Jovi? *Shakes head*
Games are like music. There are some that are just terrible, and everybody knows that. These are the Superman and Batman games, the Spyhunters etc. That is akin to Gary Barlow records. Other than a few people who really need to develop taste, or a brain, whichever comes first; nobody buys these.
Then there are other games that are good. Most people will accept U2 as being a good band due to their longevity and popularity, even if they don't really appeal to everybody. These are games like Top Spin or XIII or KOTOR or Worms 3D. Good games, but not perfect and not to everybody's taste.
Then there are the excellent games. Some people will love them, others a grudging respect, some will think them just OK. I liken them to say Bon Jovi, or the Stone Roses. I love Bon Jovi, my favourite band ever. I don't however like the Stone Roses. Some people have assured me on many many occasions that the Stone Roses are in fact absolutely brilliant. Yet they just don't do it for me.
To me, Halo is a Bon Jovi game. There are many reasons for this, but the main thing is that Halo presses all the right buttons. It has the sci-fi plot, the big guns, the Warthog and a big hero dude to kick ass with. I see a lot of me in Master Chief. To me, Metroid Prime was a Stone Roses game. Despite critical acclaim, it just did not do anything for me.
It doesn't matter how many times I get told the Stone Roses are brilliant, I'll never love them. It doesn't matter how many times I tell Borat that Bon Jovi are brilliant, he'll never love them.
The same applies for some of you with Halo. I can't make you recognise the genius that I see in it by telling you over and over again that it is there. Only you can see it for yourselves. I accept that, and was merely messing with you a bit earlier on in this thread.
It doesn't even have anything to do with format either. I was a GC owner before the Xbox, and long before most (including Dringo). I was a Ninty fan the last generation, prefering my N64 to my PS. It is all about the games, not the company. The exception being Rare.
