Hands up how many Nintendo fans tried to s**g off the PS2 for only having 4Mb of embedded VRAM for the Graphics synthesiser chip. Come on now don't be shy, oh well all of you may be interested enough to here that in an official interview on Gamespot ATI's VP of engineering announced that the Gamecube only has 3Mb of embedded VRAM, and it is no where near as fast as the PS2's DRDRAM, which runs at 800mghz and allows a much higher bandwidth in and out of the chip!!
Shame on you all, now apologize to Bonus, then go read the full interview at the address below!!

You could look at this in another way. If The deveolpers make top games for the Gamecube at the begining pushing to Gamecube to the limits what will have to look forward too? at least with the PS2 we will always know that the machine is capable of better.

Actually Trigger happy is right doing proper 3D on a PS is seriously hard and doesn't always turn out to be that good, Shadowman a prime example!

Yes I do have connections with the industry. And I might get a chance to speak to him at ECTS or Spaceworld. Sadly we did not have time to speak at E3.

On the PSone (also a similar setup) there was this thing called the Performance Analyser, used to test how they were using the console's capabilities and gave suggestions to improve the usage. The first game to use it was a crappy little title called Gran Turismo. Well, the PA is coming to the PS2.
