I actually thought that it would be technically better than the PS2, boy was I wrong!!!

Hands up how many Nintendo fans tried to s**g off the PS2 for only having 4Mb of embedded VRAM for the Graphics synthesiser chip. Come on now don't be shy, oh well all of you may be interested enough to here that in an official interview on Gamespot ATI's VP of engineering announced that the Gamecube only has 3Mb of embedded VRAM, and it is no where near as fast as the PS2's DRDRAM, which runs at 800mghz and allows a much higher bandwidth in and out of the chip!!

Shame on you all, now apologize to Bonus, then go read the full interview at the address below!!

It is more commonly known as full SCENE. But the final comment is that the GC is more powerful. Not me that made that comment but someone in the industry who I am not going to name.

Well, that's rubbish. No-one knows what the PS2 can do because it is so differant ot previous consoles. MGS2 is reported to be able to do 15 million/second WITH all the amazing effects.

As for your anti-aliasing comments, well, my glasses must have been a little smudged when I was playing Quake 3. I also must have mis-read the article which pointed out the great chunk of the manual all about anti-aliasing.

And, in case no-one's noticed, full SCREEN anti-aliasing is very, very pants as it effectively halves the power of the console and instead of just smoothing out the edges it blurrs the whole screen making the picture inaccurate and just plain fuzzy.

One last thing, the PSone can do AA as it is in Ape Escape.

No

Several sites and from actually being able to understand the specs. A faster processor and graphics chip than the PS2 means faster more powerful graphics performance. Also the RAM is a different type to other consoles, it uses fewer transistors meaning that more information can be read per clock cycle. Also read Games Master or N64 mag or Edge or NOM. Or Videogamer when it was still around. Try ZDNet sites. If you have trouble with any other technical aspects then have a look at the monthly jargon buster section that was run in N64 mag for around 10 months. Also the PS2 Emotion chip has had trouble in being fully exploited so they have not been able to get maximum performance from the PS2 hard ware which even on paper is beaten by the GC. GC pushes over 12 million polygons per second with all textures, buffers and various other things turned on. EA in Canada had their development team exceed this with nearly 16 million in test. This is far more than PS2 which has troucle with 10 million with all options. Plus GC has full scene anti aliasing which smooths out the graphics, PS and PS2 never had aliasing full scene or otherwise. The PS2 on raw polygons (no textures or other features) is around 70 million polygons per second. X-box is over 125 million. But no game uses raw polygons, the graphics would not be visible without textures and the GC has not had figures released for raw polygons.

Isometric 3D is when all angles of objects...etc are being presented to a gamer in 30 degrees.

You really don't get it do you? Where did you hear that load of crap? I bet you don't even know what isometric means.

Isometric 3D is a kind of diagonals-on view. Think THPS2 on the GBA. Think Hollywood Spot on the MD. Think Civilisation on god knows how many formats. THAT is isometric 3D.

You berk.
