Mainly as Machie and I seem to spend half the time on the WLT chatting about Doctor Who...

Here's my current favourites;

Best Classic Episode: Genesis of the Daleks (Tom Baker)

Best Classic Doctor: Late 7th Doctor - when the stories got darker and the character really developed into something more than just a Timelord.

Best DVD: The Invasion

Best New Doctor Who Episode: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday

Certainly sounds good. But no Bafta nominations? What's going on there?

No, I was thinking more along the lines of the Daleks having to make tactile alligiences with other races, such as the Cybermen, to try and win the war. This would stretch across many planets and races, some on the human side and some on the Dalek side, with the Daleks stringing everyone along for their own benefits, of course.

They already did a battle between the Daleks and the Cybermen, I can't see that being repeated. I would like it if it was a more serious battle, like a war, and thrown in some other species to. I catched The Bill on UKTV Gold this morning and the slivene woman is now a copper, i'm just waiting for her giant green arms to come out ;)

The Master has also gone past his cycle of regenerations and had to find other ways to regenerate, therefore possibly diluting his Timelord genes and making him something different. This was seen first in Survival and later in the (only just Canonical) TV Movie where he allegedly uses a symbiotic type creature from Skaro to allow him to stay alive and later take over a human.

I think perhaps they could create a world on the brink of an interstellar war between some major races, including Daleks, Cybermen and other alien races. That would be quite a good storyline. This has been the setting for several Pertwee stories, set in the future where the human's have formed an allience (similar to the Star Trek Federation, but far shakier and with more politics), but now they've got the budget, they could have huge armies.

Though in some respects, Doctor Who has always been about the individual, the small people who make a difference.

There have been different incarnations of the master. Don't read on if you want spoilers...

Mister Saxon (the character to be played by John simm, a politician, who has been referenced to in every episode of this series and some other series as well, ala torchwood in 2 and bad wolff in 1) is an anagram of Master No. six, so, he most probably is and should be appearing soon. Cpt. Jack is also making a welcome return.

Very helpful thanks =)

But what about the Master? Is he still alive? He's a renegade Time Lord.
