Mainly as Machie and I seem to spend half the time on the WLT chatting about Doctor Who...

Here's my current favourites;

Best Classic Episode: Genesis of the Daleks (Tom Baker)

Best Classic Doctor: Late 7th Doctor - when the stories got darker and the character really developed into something more than just a Timelord.

Best DVD: The Invasion

Best New Doctor Who Episode: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday

What we really need now is Rose to come and save the day, I got that idea when the skies opened, it reminded me of when the gap opened between the universies.

David Tennant isn't quitting after this series is he? I heard he was doing one more, the thought crossed my mind because he has aged (Regeneration?).

Thing is, the Rani wasn't all that great. She was a poor female version of The Master, though Kate O'Mara played the character as well as she could, the Rani episodes are not known as the best in Classic Doctor Who.

The Rani? I remember that name from The Sun, apparently some celebrity was supposed to be playing her. The Ice Warriors will probably make an appearance, there the only other old Doctor Who villian i've really heard of.

There are always the Ice Warriors, Sea Devils, Yeti and a return of the Nestine Conciousness (who create the Autons) as options. Plus, the Rani (maybe not!) and the Black Guardian, espcially as the Key to Time box set is due out on DVD at some point.

I really need to save for that box set.

That makes sense, he seems to be the logical choice for the next 'Big Villain' to return, seeming as they've done the Daleks, Cybermen and now The Master.

No, his last TV appearance was on Rememberance of the Daleks (the Sylvester McCoy episode) where he makes an escape in a pod before the mothership explodes. The books continue the story and there are some inconsistancies, but the new series doesn't always follow the events from the books and audio series, anyway. So, yes, it's possible to bring Davros back, particularly when there is a shortage of Daleks, bringing back their creator would be a good way of creating more.

Not sure, i've only seen a couple of 'The Genesis Of The Dalek' episodes from UKTV Gold, other than that i've never seen any of the old episodes.

It will be interesting as to how The Doctor saves the day seeming as he's lacking a TARDIS, probably that 'Space Hopper' thing that Capt. Jack has. By the way, I loved the music that was on when Martha found the watch, I think the Doctor Who music is always very good and sets a great atmosphere.

Cool, I want Davros back too! But to my limited knowledge of the old episodes, wasn't he "exterminated" by his own Daleks?

Yeah i've noticed them, the first episode was when Martha's friend said 'Mr Saxon said this was coming', and a few times Martha's mum has mentioned the name Saxon (Saxon being The Masters Disguise, Mister Saxon = Master No. Six, with this being the sixth Master). In the World War 2 episode were they first met Captain Jack in series one, there was a campaign poster on the wall saying 'Vote Saxon - I noticed that the other day from the DVD.

Man i'm sad for noticing this stuff. John Simms is a brilliant actor, don't know if you watched Life On Mars Pb, he was brilliant, and I only caught a few episodes.

I think the nex character demanded to come back will be Davros. By the way Alfonse, Captain Jack is a time agent who appeared in series one for the final four episodes (I think), and was exterminated by a Dalek in the two part finale of series one, only for Rose to bring him back to life using the time vortex. Watch the episodes!

They're probably on www.tv-links.co.uk

I didn't really understand that episode much to be honest, I have no idea who the captain guy is. I didn't get the part about the watch.

But then again, I do miss a ridiculous amount of the episodes.
