Up for LIVE play this weekend? Haven't been on LIVE in ages and this looks like the only Xbox game that is of any interest this year, for me anyway. Pre-ordered the US version last week and I am really looking forward to it. I thought the first two were average at best but judging from preview/reviews and video footage this looks to be in a compeltely different league.

Anyone up for Burnout 3 LIVE?

Yeah, in the original PGR running in 60hz mode could knock off up to 1.5 seconds of your time which was usually the difference between failing and passing in Medal Persuit mode. I doubt they will divide the game up for NTSC and PAL players over a refresh rate. We will see soon enough.

That isn't a good idea. It vastly cuts down the number of people who you can play and will make it more difficult to get a game. Sure, at first there will be plenty of servers, but over time it will become less popular.

I hope they remove that.

Admittedly, in the past, NTSC mode was a way of being able to go faster, in MSR most notably, along with a bunch of other racers. But they seemed to have that sorted out.

Yeah, my TV is 100hz so playing import games isn't an issue. Find it hard to believe that it would effect playing on LIVE as I have all my games running in 60hz (the ones that support it) and have played LIVE games against others, PGR2 for example.

Just been reading ntsc-uk.com and no one has confirmed the incompatibility yet but they rekon that as long as you have it in 60hz mode (Pal version) then you should be able to play NTSC users, I think people with old TV's are the ones who will suffer.
