Up for LIVE play this weekend? Haven't been on LIVE in ages and this looks like the only Xbox game that is of any interest this year, for me anyway. Pre-ordered the US version last week and I am really looking forward to it. I thought the first two were average at best but judging from preview/reviews and video footage this looks to be in a compeltely different league.

Gamespot: 9.5 "Burnout 3: Takedown is an amazing achievement that anyone with a pulse will probably love." - seems they agree with IGN on at least one game, can't wait now, I generally think Gamespot are spot on wit their ratings, roll on tomorrow! (for me anyway :D)
My copy will be sent today and gameplay generally get it to me tomorrow, so I'll probably be on single player until tomorrow night so I can have some decent stuff unlocked, might see you online tomorrow Bullet, will post impressions on here for Ali etc!

Decent news, mine was posted yesterday morning so it should be with me Friday or Saturday at the very latest. I will be on one or tother, hopefully Friday though. I will check the friends setup on LIVE when I get home from work, haven't been on in ages. I still have monkey's old tag and Bullet to add. Anyone else joining?

They tried but it was impossible to keep 60 FPS with that level of detail and fully real time rendered backgrounds.

What killed it for me was removing the ability to race with one car throughout all the races which was a massive mistake for me, it killed off everything that I enjoyed about the original. Just looking forward to something really fun to play that can be enjoyed for what it is rather than what I want it to be.
LIVE should be excellent fun, as should the awesome crash mode which looks quality.
