THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

The winner was - ICE BLASTER.

Here's a chance for WWF fans to win an Extra Gameaday Prize, but it won't be eeeeesy.

Your task is to work out what WWF-related products we do sell, what we should sell, and how we should sell them.

The best single post on this subject will win. However, you can have several attempts, you CAN pinch other people's ideas, and you CAN repeat things from your previous messages.

BUT - we will be taking into account just who suggested what first when we judge the competition. So you will score more points if you suggest something first.

At precisely 10 am on Monday July 8th, the competition will be closed. That gives you a whole month to start listing your ideas.

The way to approach this is to list your ideas as they come to you in individual posts, and then wait for nearer the end of the competition and repeat them (and some pinched from others) in one final message.

HOW WE SHOULD SELL THEM, is an important part of this. You can suggest promotions or make up catchphrases for banners or whatever.

Good luck, and don't fight over it.

My final ides for selling wwf merchandise on SR:

First create your own site i.e ukwwf.com. this should be used to sell all your wwf things.

Sell posters. To sell them use a number system like in the shops. Make a page of those thumbnails with little posters. Also print a page of mini posters in your mag.
Then when customers want to order they just pic there poster number. ie. WWF poster 4 (which is one of big show).
Sell those biggest size posters which are £5.

Some phrases i made up: (They might be lame but i had to put some in to have a better chance for a game.)

3RD TIME LUCKY? LAY THE SMACK DOWN ON THOSE CANDY AS*'S WITH THE STUNNING SMACKDOWN 3 ON THE PS2!!!!

NEW WWF MERCHANDISE-BE THE ENVY OF YOUR MATES.
THEN AGAIN AND AGAIN COZ WEVE GOT IT ALL HERE AT UKGAMES.COM (or ukwwf, com if you make it)

BIG_SLOW IS THE BEST

LIVE IN UK? CANT ORDER OF THE NET? NEED AMERICAN DOLLARS?
NOT ANYMORE!!!
MERCHANDISE@THE RESERVE-GREAT THINGS FOR A GREAT CURRENCY

ok, you sell
n64-no mercy
psx-smackdown 2
ps2-smackdown 3 (pre orders, ive ordered mine!!!)
dreamcast-royal rumble
n64-warzone
dreamcast-big deal pack (4games, 1 is wwf attitude)
gameboy-wwf betrayal (pre orders)
psx-smack down
psx-attitude
books:royal rumble guide
smackdown 1&2 quides
SR only sells 3 books which are all guides. get autobiographys and other wwf related books you can find.
i cant say sell more games. you already have all the games and pre-orders, keep it up. and drop prices on older games. if there is a close price margin people ofcoarse will go for the newer version.
there is not alot you sell for wwf fans and i can see that you need more items.

ACTION FIGURES!!!!
Everybody wants action figures, there are 100's of types and figures to choose from. i think i have seen SR sell figures of things like buffy in the past so why not sell action figures? you still sell a few toys. action figures are costing around £8 and every body will buy. Also there are many accesories which go with the action figures. like the ring, titon tron and weapon sets.

QVC the shopping channel sells wwf merchandise. this is the sort of stuff SR should sell. sell block sets of videos which you can already get. theres always this whole official set of all the past wrestlemanias and that always sells out. there a a few other video packs available aswell!!!!
alot of wwf merchandise is in clouthes, DONT sel clouthing!!!! it would just cause problems because people will return them. just sell things like caps, dog tags and accesories.

As for game/console bundles make one for every console. put in the latest game and an extra cotroller. i like the idea of your ps2 bundle with summoner. have the same deal(+ extra pad) with smackdown 3 instead!!!

DVD'S
there are hundreds of WWF videos and DVD's. 12 American PPV's a year(royal rumble, No way out, Wrestlemania, Backlash, Judgement day, King of the ring, Fully loaded or invasion, summerslam, unforgiven, No mercy, Survivor series and Armageddon) plus the two English PPV’s(Insurextion and Rebellion). These have been going on for years now so it would be very hard to keep them all. Aswell as all this you get the biography videos and the best of's etc, there is alot of these. I think you should have some videos, but it would be hard to get all of them and would be expensive! I would recommend getting the 5 biggest PPV’s (Royal rumble, king of the ring, Wresltmania, Summerslam and Survior series!). These would be the most commonly asked for videos. Another set of videos that may be considered are biography videos. All the top superstars like Rock, Austin and Foley have some great videos that you could sell. Also videos such as the best of… a particular event or match. Some, but not too many of these could be sold.

> Here are my final ideas:

I think Special reserve should create a
> wrestling club. Where you would sell WWF, WCW and ECW merchindise.
> If you join you would recieve a monthly mag with all the latest
> offers. If you renew or join you will recieve a free gift ie poster
> or a dog tag or maybe something better like a video or DVD. You could charge a fee for the club ie
> £10-£15 per 2 months or as IB said that might be to much so maybe £5-£10.

I think you should sell trading
> cards, posters, clothes, music CDs, dog tags, belts, videos, dvds, books, wrestling
> figures, wrestling rings and acceserois, of course wrestling games
> but you already sell them and any other wrestling
> merchindise.

You could advertise this club on a poster which
> could say:

COME GET SOME of the latest wrestling merchindise at
> ROCK BOTTOM prices! What you dont believe me? OH IT'S TRUE IT'S DAMN
> TRUE. Get down 2 your local Special Reserve shop 2 jion or log on to
> www. specialreservewrestling.co.uk.

Or any other chessy
> catchphrases from wrestling superstars.

So there are my ideas
> hope i win my first game.

Here are my final ideas for selling WWF produce on SR;

With the ever-growing popularity of the WWF, extra WWF goods to be sold would go down well here, I would think! Am I right in thinking that the only WWF merchandise here is the WWF games and guides? Well obviously you should keep them.

Clothing) there is something called 'shopzone' on WWF.COM, were it sells all the WWF merchandise you can think of: Hats, banners, T-shirts, wrestlers clothing, shades, basically all the clothes to do with the WWF. If you were to open up a clothes section to your shop, then of course all this should be added in, check out shopzone to see what is available. There are items of clothing from every superstar though and this would be hard to store and expensive. I would recommend getting the big superstars clothing: items of clothing from the Rock, stone cold, HHH, Y2J, Benoit, Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Kane, Kurt angle and Foley. But you should let people ask for clothing and you could try and order it or something. Would that work, were people ask you for something and you order it?

Music) There are 6 WWF CD's which could be sold somewhere in the shop (do you do music?). WWF the music 1,2,3,4,5, and WWF aggression! These could be sold with the DVD’s and possibly won as a Filmaday prize.

DVD and Video) there are hundreds of WWF videos and DVD's. They would fit in nicely with your already films section. WWF DVD’s could also be claimed and won in Filmaday.

Magazines and books) I do not know if this would be such a good idea, but could people get the WWF magazine's from your shop? There are several types of them but I dunno if you would want to take that up. As for books, I know they are not sold here, but there are some high selling ones that could be considered. The Rock and Mankind and Chyna all have top selling books, which may go down well here.

extras) things like posters and title belts may go down here very well, and they wouldn't be too hard to get hold of. WWF figures aswell could be good. There is also loads of other things baring the WWF title, i.e.: WWF coasters, tags, mugs, plates, postcards and plates. You could sell these to make good profits! Anything easy, small and cheap those makes you profit would be suitable.

Banners) There are many WWF catchphrases and you could turn these to promote SR!
‘If ya smell what SR is selling,’ – The Rock
‘That the bottom line coz SR seys so,’ – Stone cold
‘You will never EEEEEEver need to shop any were else’,<---- personal favorite. Chris Jericho
‘Prove us wrong’, - Chris Benoit
‘We are that damn good.’ – Triple H
The use of pictures would be good to. I.e. Triple H face and a bubble containing the words “we are that damn good”, and some of your WWF produce in picture. You can click on this banner and it could take you to a WWF section on your site. It would have basically everything that has been mentioned above.

Advertisement) you could make one of them slogans on a banner put WWF on it and some pictures of items you sell. You could get in touch with some of the big WWF sites and ask them to promote you. WWF.com, themayhem.com, ultimatewwf.com, rajahwwf, 4w-wrestling and there are loads more like the rocks site and Kurt angles site.

WCW and ECW) they are also poplar and you could sell items from the other two federations. It would allow you to increase advertisement to wcw.com and ECW.com for example.

You could do WWF and game bundles like the following:
WWF Sony bundle
Smackdown 3
Playstaion 2
Controller (2 maybe)
Memory card

WWF N64 bundle
No mercy / GBA WWF
N64 / GBA
2 64 controllers
memory card

WWF DC bundle
Royal rumble
DC
Controller or 2
memory pack

Future gamecube WWF package?
WWF GC
GC
controller

You could do the N64 one quite cheap as they are cutting down prices whilst making way for the GC. The DC one wouldn’t need to be too expensive either. The Ps2 one, you just add up how much they would cost together, and take a bit off, but still make profit!

WWF and special reserve, its true its true!

Jet had the idea to start a WWF fan club; I would like to pick up on that idea. He says that a club that you could join for 10-15£ a month. Very little detail on what the club would do though. I feel 10-15£ a month is a bit pricey as people can join SR club for £6.99. I think you could stick with the £6.99, joiners could get something free i.e. a DVD/video that is possibly very cheap or sells very well. Once you have joined you are legible to buy WWF produce that I have listed above. I don’t know if you would be willing to put huge amounts of work into it- but make magazines for members or cheap deals of other items in store. Also a monthly competition open to only members would be great. I think the club could run quite successfully, as long as people are getting better deals than anywhere else on WWF merchandise. *cheesy catchphrase- Here at WWF SR we have Rock bottom price*

If the club does ever become a reality, then adverts in the WWF magazines and other UK WWF products. Like you have advertisements in Nintendo, Sega and Sony magazines for SR, you dedicate one little segment to the club.

As for a website for the club- possibly www.WWFSR.co.uk, www.specialreservewrestling.co.uk, www.wrestleSR.com etc etc.
There you go Tony. I hope my ideas influenced you to carry out the WWF club or what ever you choose.
