HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF THIS COMPETITION. I have read ALL the entries!
A lot of entries mentioned things which have generally been discussed before or are in the pipeline. They include:
User Profiles
Polls
Walkthroughs and Game Guides
Highest Scores
Who is currently posting
Splash Plastic (which is too expensive for us to do)
Online Reddies
Logos and Ringtones (see UKphonetones.com)
Genre search for games
Tell a Friend.
It just goes to show how busy we are that we are unable to get many of the above into place. But hey, expenditure is controlled by income (hint).
I liked Darkness' idea about tutorials, and Mantis made the suggestion to have a "Gamesmaster" of the forums based on competitions for high scores.
Cookie Monster wants people to be able to promote their website (we already offer this for Freeola customers) and he also suggests that we have an office pet which is monitored with a web cam (brilliant).
Monkey_with_Attitude suggests a "most played games of the week" counter on UKgames.com.
Freak of the Dark says our logo should "move or something".
Turbonutter reckons we should run Flash games and this is supported by Shaneo who says we should run SR Arena and give prizes to the best players. Turbonutter also tells us that we are lacking on PC game specification of the type you find on the back of the box and Swish extends this to a link under each title.
CDouch is a "man of a thousand ideas", mostly on the button too. He lists: Information on gaming from around the world, more mini sites like UKgt3, kids corner, celebrity visits and better organised release info including more information on unreleased games (to name but a few of his suggestions).
The rules (written by Kendozod) state "exciting and would attract a lot of visitors".
THE WINNERS ARE:
CDouch for MORE INFORMATION ON UNRELEASED GAMES.
Turbonutter for FLASH GAMES.

I think you should have a section for Retro games (Im not sure if this has allready been said because I have not looked through all the posts)
In the section there can be all the latest news and a way of buying old game that you cant get before for old platforms like SNES and Mega Drive. I think this would attract loads of new interest to your site because lots of people I know would love to buy games for old platforms

I can't remeber actually writing this and I don't know if I just thought about writing it so I am going to post it anywhoo!
I really liked the Walkthroughs idea posted way, way back and so did a few others and I thought it would be a good idea to have a vote so that we decide what we all thoink would be good for the site and we get what we would all like to see and then that person who actually had the idea wins the GAD!!

I have not read all the suggestions but have you thought about mobile ring tones and logos? If you were cheaper than everyone else then you would get the most customers if you had a good selection. Also it would be good if SR sold more mobile accessories. Safeway every so often knock 10% off of the price of mobile top up cards. If SR could do that and make a profit then that would be a good idea. Mobiles are getting increasingly tied in with computers so it would be a good idea to increase your share of the mobile market.

I think this would be a great ideas as everyone could get to know eachother much better and see what there really like.

These are some of my old posts that never got read in the
'remember the extra promotional gd' forum, (you can check the dates in that forum to make sure there my ideas if you want) Any way i copied and pasted a few so here they are in no particular order!

What about restricting people to only starting off a certain amount of discussions in a certain time - then people would think more about what they should start discussing and you could put into action my original idea.
