WHAT THE HELL!?!?!? This is officially the weirdest film I have ever encountered. It starts off pretty understandable with a girl worried about moving to a new school etc, and all of a sudden her parents are turning into pigs, a good looking lad she's friends with randomly turns out to be a dragon and the baby's are 3 feet taller than their mother and speak better english.
Anyone seen this?! Did I miss something or is it just a damn weird film?

*smacks forhead*
Get back to watching Karate Kid.
Oh and Bruce Lee never jumped on top of buildings.

Is that anything to do with Full Metal Panic?

Yes but Akira was a mindscrew from start to finish. Princess Monoke on the other hand was amazing.
I would say "such as Crouching Tiger" but it was just an awful film altogether, so instead I'll say such as Bulletproof Monk. BM is a film that everyone was giving me good comments about so I eventually went and rented it.
I have to say it was brilliant, there was a nice little story building up and the characters had a little depth. Then it happened. In the middle of a dramatic bridge fightscene the Monk broke out into some spinning backflip far beyond human capabilities.
It's the same with Bruce Lee jumping on top of buildings and people walking in on finger-width branches in CT, but why has it become part of the genre?
I'm hoping that "Ong-Bak" is a film without all this magical tosh, the film box itself claims it is. Before I get it, has anyone seen it?
I mean, magical stories are meant to make a little bit of sense right... :-)
Oh, and that lad isn't just a dragon, he's the spirit of a river. Does that make a little more sense? :-)

To be honest I doubt he'd follow 'Akira' if he couldn't follow 'Spirited Away'.
Any takers?
