England squad:

Michael Vaughan (captain)
James Anderson
Ian Bell
Paul Collingwood
Andrew Flintoff
Ashley Giles
Stephen Harmison
Matthew Hoggard
Geraint Jones
Simon Jones
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Strauss
Marcus Trescothick

Get fit soon Simon Jones!

Hopefully England will still be attacking and go for the win rather than defend to try and get a draw, I think they're more likely to succeed this way.

We should have brought in Hargreaves for Jones. He's a hero.

Let's hope! It was a shame Collingwood didn't survive longer and when we lost Strauss things looked like they were nearing a close, but perhaps if Jones and Giles can make it through the first half hour of the morning, they might be able to put on a few more runs, maybe make 350 or 360. I can't honestly see them making 400 though, the England tail just doesn't have the same power as the Australian one.

Twas pretty disappointing that! A brilliant four followed by being bowled out. Still Giles is going well and Hoggard is, erm, surviving which is still useful. It just feels like a matter of time now though (although that's a silly thing to say since it always is...).

Three fours in a row for Harmison - that's a help!

Great batting by Harmison. Just can't understand why he didn't run.

Great innnings by both of them considering they are tail-enders, 50+ partnership between them meant England recovered and got a decent-ish score. Hopefully they can now do the same with the ball and get some early wickets.
