Yes, if the light is not severe enough to stop play, but the batsmen can't see the ball well.

Spot on. We can't lose early wickets as the aussies will sense blood and if we get out cheaply there's a good chance they will win.

The light has just been tested and after a long conversation by the umpired it wasn't offered. First time I've heard the crowd boo such a decision! Can't be long before it is offered though hopefully.
