Internet connection in campus rooms at York, yay or nay? Also what speed is it? I've heard rumors that the only connection available is dial-up and only in a few rooms? Surely not? There is some mention to connection to the web through the York network, I'm assuming this is the connection most people used while in halls?

You Computing guys have you own fancy-dan computer lab near the library. That's OK though, because I like to stay away from the library whenever possible.

Never trust what the York administration says. They spin a silver web very nicely, but never ever deliver.

Except when they gave us a new bar with a roast every day. That's nice. Vanburgh, that is. I'm there most days in between lectures, playing pool. Don't steal my table.

What course you studying?

I can only tell you about James, because that's all I know about. We had broadband access that cost £60 a year. And yeah, you connect through the network.

But James is the newest college, all posh-like for conference guests. The crappy colleges like Goodricke...doubtful. They're lucky they get ceilings and stuff over there. Ask Blank about that, he knows those dank dark pits.

There's lots of computer rooms around campus though. Not good if you want to play games or download stuff, obviously.
