Huh, mostly fear Rangers, eh?
They'll probably try the hardest against us then :(
Still, I'm betting Jose's boys ain't looking forward to playing in that group either. I still think the two English sides will progress, though.
And y'know, even though Arsenal have the easiest group in the history of European football...they'll still have to scrape through in second thanks to a Pascal wonder strike in the final minutes of the last game.
Rangers always used to get humped of Juve though if I remember
Yeha, but they won the UEFA cup, didn't they?
And Rangers came awfully close to beating them as well.
> When are Scottish teams ever any good in European competition?
Uh, Celtic, Uefa Cup final, put out by Porto (funnily enough) two years ago?
Rangers, Champions League semi-final, put out by a cheating (and had teh trophy taken off of tehm) Marseille?
> When are Scottish teams ever any good in European competition?
Two years ago Celtic got the UEFA Cup final. Surely that counts for something. And a few years before that Rangers were in a period in which they were consistently very good in Europe.
And also, if you heard that Rangers struggled against Famagusta, then you heard very wrongly/were lied to.
I just remembered, Inter will be playing their home games in an empty San Siro, so they won't even have a real home advantage. I'm not sure whether that will help, as each team in that gorups is far inferior to them, but it might let them drop points.
I think it will be very close between Rangers and Porto as to who'll go through, but I can see Rangers possibly getting a point against Inter at home, if Farfan and Rodriguez sort out their partnership.
