Exactly, which is why I couldn't figure out why people took it.

So, out of interest with everybody off to Uni to do stuff, one last question - What do you want to be, or is Uni just an excuse to stave off finding a job for a couple more years?

I know one person who does a Maths degree, and she's really boring. Case closed.

Edit: In answer to Goaty, just for hell of it, I'm 2 years into a Biology course. Had no clue what I wanted to do at the start of it, now I want to do further study at UCL/Sydney in order to become an environmental lawyer.

But with the exception of a mate who's a research chemist, the people with science/math degrees I've met have been some of the most borderline autistic people I've talked to. Seeking refuge in formulae and the precise, exacting world of numbers because people scare them.

Certainly, not denying that the vast majority of maths students will end up being best friends with their cat, I'm just saying that your average big-scale graduate employers like PriceWaterHouseCoopers will be after a certain grade of degree and don't actually care what degree it is.

But the 'traditional' degrees like History and the Sciences will be worth more.

Hah, I read the actual link and was expecting to see a picture of Gervais' agent from Extras.

But yeah, I love the trees and bunnies.

Just a quick question...

If you do an exam and get a B

Then you do a retake and get a U

Do they take your highest score?
