Yes it is a job demanding top fitness however they should be at that level to manage that number of games, especially with all the staff and equipment around them.
Erm, what about those playing in Europe? That's two, occassionally three games a week.
Now i'm not saying playing in a school game is the same as the World Cup but if so called professional footballers can't manage 2 games a week on the amount of money they earn then they shouldn't be earning that much or shouldn't be playing at all.

Have you ever actually played a 90 minute football match? Even at the low low standard I play it's incredibly knackering. I even get tired after a 40 minute 6-a-side match, and I'd consider myself fairly fit.
