Another thread on Mikey, true. But I have to keep my hopes up. Losing my favourite 'Pool striker is a blow that can only be softened with the return of the only 'Pool player I have loved more than him. Mikey is on his way back - that's what The Times seems to think:

Read that in my paper this morning before my run, and then amused myself by thinking of Mikey while running (not in a gay way).

Stevie says he'll talk to him in the England training camp. No-one can turn down Stevie. No man, no woman.

I wouldn't actually mind if Kuyt signed instead of Owen. Would cost a few million less and got something like 29 goals in the Dutch league last season. Dutch players always seem to do well in England. Maybe worth a gamble.

Other transfer news. Many papers have us linked with the young Danish defender Aggers who skinned Rooney in the 4:1 humiliation.

The Liverpool Echo speaks of Rafa looking in the Bundasliga for more central defense cover. Apparently he's after Fernando Meira who I know not to much about except that he's a Portuguese international. They also have us linked with yet another teenage defender called Lukas Sinkiewicz. Don't know a big lot about him either.

Kuyt has been linked for months. Spurs are the main players for him now, it seems.

Benitez just doesn't want owen does he.

He is now after Dirk Kuyt... another striker.

I guess he knows best.

And it looks like Baros to Villa.

He didn't have a choice. Bates wanted him to go and he is injury prone... if he played one more game it would cost Leeds £250,000 to Derby.

Blackwell is brilliant.

And Richardson, Walton, Kilgallon and Pugh are very young and talented... and the future of the team.

we got tons of "goodish" championship level players, healy, hulse, lewis, richardson, sullivan, harding, bakke, walton, kilgallon, keegan, kelly, butler, spring, stone, etc..

If we do go up, only bakke, healy and sullivan are good enough to keep us up.

Kevin blackwell should get the boot, releasing seth johnson :( :(

I'm starting to believe Liverpool should sell all their strikers... they simply cannot score! Maybe push Gerrard up front... buying Owen would be important...

Wait for Crouch to return? He'd get a few.

Heh you keep telling yourself that when you're having such glamourous ties as Hull away while we play European football, while we face the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premiership.
