This has to be said, Age restrictions are there for a reason. My Mums cousin saw the Exorcist and nearly diedof fright. SHE WAS 15!!!!
If the cinema had kept in sinc with the age restictions then this would not have happened.
I am now 18 and have no worrys about age restrictions, I can see how frustrating they can be but they are there for a reason. However I feel that some games have an age restriction that is too high
GTA - 18 - should be a 15 as there is violance but it is not very realistic.
Zelda 2 - 11+ - Why?, its about Imps for christ sake.
Conkers:BFD - Mature - should be a small warning but it really is not that bad.
Again the same applys for some films, for instance
Blair Witch Project - 15 - not scary, dull, should be 12.
Blair Witch 2 -15 - shouldn't have been released!
Hollowman - 18- should be a 15.
So you can see my point, age resrictions are useful, but they are too strict, maybe we should switch to the american system. We have to get something good off them.

What would you suggest as an alternative?

Arguing over the same point... I think weve been hree before? :)

Although I dont know how other systems work... Ive never tried a cable system... so cable/OnDigital owners, etc... may be able to get the same setup...
I suppose that people watching the free digitals channels could have the same things...
but than again, I wasnt trying to get a UK Vs. US tv thing going?
(besides, as the Simpsons, in their infinite wisdom, have shown, any such system is hardly foolproof :) )
Its just much easier for a service provider to supply such a service than it is for BBC/ITV/etc... to supply the service to the limited number of users purchasing the compatible TV/SetTop Boxes, etc...
???
