I must admit that I enjoyed the pre-Black Album era the most. They sort of peaked with The Black Album, even though it's not my favourite, it is the most successful.
Load, Re-load and Garage Inc. were all very good albums as well, but St Anger was over-produced and far too aggressive.

The two albums with Ronnie James Dio on vocals were quality. Can't stand Ozzy.
