Ross Kemp was fantastic. I always thought he'd be the sort to take himself too seriously, but his part in this tonight was excellent. Also, Barry from Eastenders cameo was superb.

BBC3 will repeat it, odds on. They seem to repeat everything.

And the assface that was supposed to tape this for me screwed it up.
The one programme I watch on tv and couldn't record it properly. Oh, oh, but they can tape soap operas and mindless detective shows for retards.

Is it repeated at all?

Definitely the best so far. The cerebal palsy scenes were even more cringeworthy than anything from the Office.

"D'you know what's worrying me?"
"I dunno - where do baby ants go to school?"

"You look dapper."
"..It's a Nazi uniform."

Tonight's was the first episode I've seen. it was quite good, made me laugh in places, but I couldn't help thinking that Ricky Gervais' character was very similar to David Brent, just slightly more intelligent perhaps.

In the first one, did anyone else notice the mixup when they're talking about journalist one and two?

Dunno if it was a mistake or I just missed something...

Ah, now I'm not so sure.

I missed the first five minutes of Episode 1 initially and after downloading it and watching it again it seems quite suitable as an opener.

Cheers - downloaded and watched it myself too.

Agreed, Kemp was excellent. Convinced now that the series would feel much better if the order of #1 and #2 were switched, although on second viewings I can't say I might not see reasons otherwise. There has to be justification for that order beyond corporate pressure - I just don't feel that Gervais and Merchant would succumb to that.

The usual torrent spots.

Anyway, just watched it now, Ross Kemp was superb in it.

I liked 'Merchant as the agent, that was quality.

Best scenes? The bit about the "Mitchell" brothers and the bit right at the end between Gervais, Vinnie and Kemp.

Looking forward to Thursdays episode now
