it didn't get as much hype on the actual BBC as i thought it would.
"Who are you?"
"Nobody."
"Huh?"
"Nobody."
"Exactly - nobody. And who am I?"
"Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember."
"Is that supposed to be funny?"
"You tell me - you were in it."
"Get off my set, get off my set!"

Woah. That's English for stop a horse. I thought HTTT was excellent. In no way their best album at all but with some really really brilliant songs on it and still now something I regularly listen to.

It's a sitcom - by its very nature it isn't going to be brilliant after two episodes.
You just need to give it time for the characters to establish themselves, then on a second viewing, you'll find it much more enjoyable.
Apparently, it would have worked better if Episode 2 and Episode 1 were switched - 2 being the more introductory one. Episode 1 was chosen first presumably as its more of a "blockbuster" episode.

That was brilliant.
"It's all right everyone, it's not a pube, it's just a dog hair!"
"In 5 years he'll still look pretty good, you'll just look like a pelican"
"I'd be lathering up, in they'd come, two of them wanting a bit of Kemp @rse"
