I'm thinking of subscribing for a month maybe.
Anything new since about March/April? I bet there are about 3 updates too.

Yeah that could work, you could put your favourite/most commonly used moves in those slots, leaving the least important ones for a menu system.

Yeah, that sounds ok actually.

Well if you have say 3 menus (Spells, Attacks, Emoticons) mapped to different buttons/triggers then one of those is pressed down and then you press the D-pad in the appropriate direction to select the various actions.

Using the Fable system you can have about 9 of each (spells, attacks, and emoticons) readily accessible and the rest stored in more detailed menus that can be assigned to one of the quicker menus.

I think having 9 of each easily accessible would make it decently playable at least. :)

Some character classes have tonnes of different moves/spells though. perhaps a Final Fantasy-style menu, where moves are grouped by class, could work.

Blizzard would have quite a challenge to get everything in - which makes me think some bits are going to get cut - like Doom 3 - for simplicity.

That sort of intricate menu system's already been translated well onto the Xbox with Fable's approach.

I can't see a console interface being successful. My screen is absolutely choked with icons, and my gamepad has a huge amount of emotion actions mapped to it.

It'd be in their interests to port it. It'd rake in even more cash.

Still intend to get this at somepoint.

It might make it to 360/PS3, you never know.

For every boring 'kill ##' quests there are some quite magnificent ones.

Ah but no doubt if the quests weren't there to break things up then you'd get tired of killing people pretty quickly.
