Well, it has according to Sky News, the news vulture network. Huge red banners and claxons fill your eyes and ears whenever you skip past that channel. From a more reliable source (BBC News), I see there have been power surges and small explosions, which naturally have affected services.

This quote made me chortle:

Obviously an out-of-towner.

My sister is in London today, searching for a new house. I don't think she's in the centre though.

Despite wanting to say "Wow, them Frenchies really are bad losers eh?", one is forced to take this pretty damn seriously when reading of people's well founded and desperate fears for those whom they care about.

I feel kinda helpless way up north here; all I can do is re-iterate that I hope everyone is okay, and my deepest sympathies for those who've losts lives or loves in the explosions.

Do you actually leave your house, ever? If you did, you'd see that skin colour isn't an issue with most people these days and believe it or not, whities and darkies working together is actually a day to day occurence.

Totally agree with you there, mate. They just churn out 'gossip' that is used to hit a certain degree of shock upon the public, and whatever seems shocking (but could actually be rumours) are placed up as a main headline. Its wrong.
