I've got the demo but it simply doesn't start. I've since installed the supplied drivers (77.30) but that didn't fix the problem either. The desktop resolution is 1024x768 at 32bit colours by the way. Direct X 9c is installed, graphics card a 6600GT, onboard sound with the A8N-SLI board and an Athlon 64 3800+ processor.

Right I have a Radeon 9200, which I thought wouldnt play the game, I was right. It goes past all the pre-order now crap and as the final screen blurs out to the main menu, it hangs and I get my VPU recover message. I dont get any other warning/error apart from this. The annoying thing is, my brother with the exact same setup can actually load the menu and get a game loading, before it proceeds to crash. Any ideas on how to get it working? Or a decent graphics card for about 90 quid? I've been looking at the 9600XT, x700Pro and a couple of others. Recommendations please...

No it's not. I mean yeah, a demo is to test primarily whether it works. But the reason it's called a demo is because it's a demonstration of the non finished product so there's still prolly configurations to be done and everything.

Although, this close to the release date, this prolly is a demo of the finished product so you could be right with that whole DX9 non supportive thing.

Oh well, guess it's time to fork out the cash for the 6800GT i've been mulling over.

But I get it at trade price from somewhere like Ingram Micro, Northamber or Computer2000 or many other places MUAHAHAHHAHAHA.

The reason they have a demo is so that you can test out whether it works or not.

GFX5200 runs it though, yay!

And you KNOW that because. . ? or you're just basing that on the fact that the DEMO doesn't support this card at the moment or you've read a confirmed detail?

Ahhh FECK! after reading the Readme, it doesn't look like the demo supports Geforce 4 TI4800.

They better make it compatible for the full game.
