Haha you've got to be joking right? First of all, Beckham can't compare to any 3 of those footballers let alone be paired with them. Secondly Nedved can hardly be considered a winger, the man is all over the place and is best in central midfield. Secondly, how can you pick Beckham over 2 wingers that have amazing dribbling skills, stunning pace, can play both on the left and the right and can cross the ball perfectly?

I think you're wrong

At times Nesta seems to single-handedly stop teams, such as against Lazio

Stam and Roberto Carlos have to be in there, as do Cocu and Rivaldo, and probably Kluivert.

That's if you include Beckham.

fair enough with adriano, but nesta and also cannavaro are two of the best defenders ever. and neither of them had alcohol problems.

If only for the fact he scored with Caprice despite looking how he did. Nice one my son

After 1-2 seasons? Without even being top scorer and being patchy? Without him being able to even rival Sheva, Henry, Ronaldinho, Shearer?

You're joking right?

Maybe, but he still isn't world class for me. Central defenders are hard to rate as world class I find. Cos they can often hit runs of form or whatever, but it doesn't come up as goals scored or saved, Ie. any tangible data. I'll leave him out though. Adams was far superior.

In their prime, would it be better than the pairing of Nedved and Beckham in their prime? I think not.

How is it eccentric? I'm putting it into context here. People are calling Beckham world class. Ok fine, so i'm just comparing him to people of the past and a few current who i think were world class. Now to me Beckham doesn't even compare to them. I would put him in the good category, not the world class one.

But then we all have different perspectives and opinions. Personally i can't see how he's 'World Class' when i look at it in that context but ah well each to their own
