I wouldn't say their GBA games were great.
The DK ports were quite poor, Sabre Wulf was quite good but games like It's Mr. Pants really should be beyatch-slapped.
As for the Xbox, that says it all. One game in 3 years. Although you could say Bungie have only done 2 games, but Rare should be dishing out killer titles at a faster rate. And GBTG wasn't even that good.
Kameo has promise, Banjo 3 just won't sell, but the acid test will be PD Zero.

To be fair, the only release we've seen from them for Microsoft is GBTG, and their GBA games remain consistently great.
Kameo could be good.
I'm with you all the way.
I Think
Anyway, Rare.
Banjo-Tooie. Suplime.
Goldeneye. Bloody awesome.
Perfect Drk. Even Better
Conker's BFD. Genius
Diddy Kong Racing. Fun, fun, fun.
I could write a book on Rare. They 'were' brilliant. In fact, I'd go as far to say they were once the greatest games developers around.
But know, shaded under the monster of Microsoft, Rare are failing badly. And I don't think it's going to gt any better.
Shame, really.

Jet Force Gemini was close to being good in multiplayer, and was sometimes great fun. The main problem was that the weapons did too little damage so matches seemed to go on and on...
But hey, there was always the target shooting game! :-)

WHAT! Grabbed by the ghoulies is class.....
~grumbles off into the distance
Though it was the characters they screwed up, not the level design.

Oh yeah, Jet Force Gemini, that was pretty good. Multiplayer was OK, but it was released in the era of the all mighty Goldeneye, so there was no way it was gonna live up to the expectations some people gave it (even though they were completely different games). I guess RARE thought it'd give the game a little more life in it, and they would continue to trend in all the following games on the N64.
