What is WoW?
*gulps*
It is well worth the money and if you have it, the time too. People on here are happy to join up adn share stuff from what i have read, but also their seems to be one or 2 arguements, bu you get that with all games.

I'm actually salivating.
Not so much the geekish obssession, just so much as I've barely played online gaming because it's been crap and I haven't had the connection or the time.
This summer I've got broadband, time and the game to satisfy that...
You will loose friends, you will start trying to cast spells in public and you will find yourself demonically chuckling to yourself at in game moments that tickled you down at the pub (thats after the few mates you have reamining take pity on you and physically drag you out of the skink pit of rotting pizza, unshoweredness and general wiffyness that will be your bedroom)...
You've been warned...

Also, safest place for you to be when they arrive is under your bed, they have an aversion to anything sleep related...
> What "faction" are the people on this site then?
There are 2 factions each with 4 races - Horde (Orc, Troll, Tauren, Undead) and Alliance (Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome).
Humans and Night Elves seem to be the most popular Alliance races, whereas on Horde, it seems to be balanced out from what I've seen - Trolls technically being the least desirable to play, stats-wise.
Then there are the classes, which distinguish you from other member of the same race (to an extent):
Druid
Hunter
Mage
Paladin (Alliance Only)
Priest
Rogue
Shaman (Horde Only)
Warrior
Warlock
On my standard server I have a Night Elf Druid and a Dwarf Hunter. On my new one I have 2 undead characters, one Rogue and one Warlock.
There's so much variety in this game it's mindblowing - I haven't even mentioned the Professions you can learn yet. Just make sure you don't succumb to it's charms when you should really be doing something else, including socialising with your friends. It's very seductive, but as stated before, can do so much to ruin your real life :D
See if you can get on a free trial Guest Pass, if you know anyone that has one (they come in the full version, so you can recommend a friend). You'll love it, I'm sure, but there is the 1 in 1,000,000 that doesn't seem to enjoy it :D
