Go and grab yourself a guitar of any description and play the intro to All My Life by the FooFighters. Basically its just a G power chord but if you're rubbish at playing the guitar just play a G note. Listen to the song for the rhythm if you dont know it.

Now for the hard part.

Try singing along to it. Doesnt sound hard but it is. Singing and playing it at the same time is nearly impossible. It makes Dave Grohl even more of a ledgend IMO.

I get all my tabs in Guitar Pro format from mysongbook.com
ibreathemusic.com has lots of picking excersises and tips and stuff. They have mp3 examples as well.

Ah, I got a haircut recently, so it's no longer verging on David Seaman length.

Know any good sites with generic metal tab and tips?

there's more to neo-classical than just the instruments though.

You can never nail it perfectly without having some tight leather trousers and massive hair.

It's a Fender too.

I recently swapped my V for a nice amp, but I don't think that would have been the right sound for this neo-classical stuff.

my guitar's a bit of a cheapo but it has a surprisingly fast neck considering. I'm not so fond of its clean sound though so I have to cover it up by using some light chorus and stuff. Teles are great though, I spent an hour in a shop playing one a few months ago. I think they were expecting me to buy it. Suckers.

Ah, I see you have the guitar for it though - I have a Tele and a Les Paul, hardly metal guitars. Might have to invest in a cheap Ibanez...

I got the tab to the Bill and Ted/Extreme song, and I'm doing a fairly passable version of it on an old acoustic guitar (all I've got here). Will be back home tomorrow - time to test out my new amp, methinks.
