Simple stupid question, those of you who drive, was it like a learning curve or was it just like "click" one lesson and you could do it?

I officially quit driving today until further notice, mostly because I fear for my own life whilst driving, also partly due to lack of money.

Is it just "one of those things" that some people do naturally and others struggle to adapt to, or am I just completely carp (yes, carp) at it for no understandable reason?

or people who sit on other people's bumpers.

FFF, do you drive?

[edit] Well, I'm going to be having lessons for about 6 months before I can get insured on his car, it'll just be a few extra lessons. EB is actually a good driver, I don't think he has any bad habbits.

I wouldn't think it's a very good idea getting someone you know to teach you how to drive. Firstly, you'll pick up all his own little faults that everyone gets after their test. You won't have the dual pedals, so at first he'll have no way of helping if you do something wrong. And it's actually very difficult to tell someone how to drive without being an instructor, as most of it is done by feel as it were.

etc.

That is very annoying.
Especially on massive, busy roundabouts when people don't indicate.

I hate people who don't indicate. I hate being on a motorway now since the crash, everyone just goes from lane to lane without indicating.

I'm going to learn to drive soon. EB said that if he gets this car he's looking at then he'll put me on the insurance and teach me, but I got to wait til Jan when he'll have been driving for 3 years.

Cyclists that don't use the cycle lanes.
Now there's something to scream about. Idiots.
