Simplify:
(5x² + 14x - 3) / (x² - 9)
You know you can do it, I know you can do it, so how about we cut out the 'google it noob' stuff and somebody just helps me out, please.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Yeah, I'm thick, I can't do simple maths
Damn expressions. Where's the proper equations when you need them?

Just grouping all the shizzle together.
If it goes the other side of the equals, then swap the signs around.

Yep you do, and the above answers correct :) Just did it myself as it's a dull evening.
2 years ago, can't remember a thing.
(5x² + 14x - 3) / (x² - 9)
((5x²-x²) + 14x) / (-9 + 3)
(4x² + 14x) / -6
Hmmm ... can't remember if you keep the x² as a seperate thing.
I think you probably do.
Else:
30x over -6

Erm...me. My homework, I don't want to annoy the maths teacher more than I already have.

Yeah you can.
But then, who cares?
A quick glance and I think you're wrong anyway.
But then, who cares?
