Just seen this film...is it one of them you have to watch over and over again before you understand it or is it just me?

But it IS thought provoking.

That's why we have these threads cropping up all the time.

People go 'eh? I'd better talk to someone about this'.

I think I made a thread about it myself a while back because it was intriguing and got me thinking about time travel and dreams and wondering what the hell made it make total sense.

Of course, like life, it doesn't make complete sense and this is a good thing. It's everyone going round going "I didn't get it and it's not supposed to be 'gotten' in this form - this challenges me a bit too much therefore it must be crap as I can't neatly nail it down and tick it off as 'yep, understood that: Next'"

You can't understand it because it was never meant to be understood.
They just threw a load of random stuff in to make it seem all impressive and though-provoking, but they mostly have absolutely nothing to do with anything, and the whole film drowns in pretentious 'oh look! I bet you won't understand this!"

They were robbing the house and the Cellar Door was the calling for Donnies future. Or something.

Can anyone explain the Cellar Door thing?

He remembered the teacher saying it, went to that granny deaths house cellar and then there were two blokes with blades...what was the point of all that?

It's a film that makes you think.

If you don't like thinking then it's not your sort of film.

Watched it once. Doesn't really require thought when you spend a little time thinking about it. Is that double negative????....

Oh dear the movie requires thought.

Must be crap then.

I like that music.

You could never understand it unless you read the DVD extra.
That is why it sucks. Might watch it tonight though.
