I know I've been a main culprit of this, and I really shouldn't be the one to speak, but this is getting out of hand. Some intelligent newbies have been appearing over the past month, and they are still being treated like cheatguru. I've got nothing against people taking the mick out of people like that, I mean they're disabled, and can't fight back, but this is silly. These newbies really ARE human, and it's not nice.
I started posting on FoG straight away, jumped in at the deep end, and found swimming quite easy.
I would just recommend to newbies that they dont post stuff like: "It must be true, my mate told me," etc etc, and they should be fine.
I know that when people post bad grammar it gets up people’s nose, but I suppose that can’t be helped.
When I first joined SR I found the idea of posting on FOG a little daunting (don’t ask why) so I spent most of my time on the “less crowded” forums such as the PS2 one. There, I met a few people, improved on my grammar and generally got a bit of knowledge between my ears.
I think that if a few more newcomers to what I did, instead of rushing into the deep end, they will be find and everyone will be happy.
Yes, you get a few idiots but they don’t last for long. As long as us regulars, notables, bright newbies and staff keep the standards up, all should go well.
No he isn't, just bad timing...
Hey, where did you come from?
(I snuck in the back entrance.)
What... oh. Please, please God, don't tell me.
:-P
I use the word "easily", because my name isn't webmaster@sr.
> I'm also agaisnt thick regulars, if it makes it any better for you, Tony.
Grix, this is the first time you have ever posted something which confuses me. Possibly you thought you were your brain when you posted it?
