I had this talk with my boyfriend. He wants to get married whereas I think that we don't need a piece of paper to show how much we love each other.
Am I missing the point of marriage?
I know I want to be with my boyfriend for the rest of my life, I just don't see why I need to get married to show that.
Though to be honest, I'll proberly get married eventually and do the traditional thing.

It's not my fault if you couldn't get your little prawn to work.

That's only if you decide on a big wedding, though. Like I said, being married allows you to benefit from paying less tax, as you are techincally one person. Also, children born out of wedlock have fewer benfits that children with married parents.

It doesn't have to be though, it only is mostly because people make it so for no reason.

Some people outgrow their first loves
Some people are to scared too outgrow their first loves
Some people settle for the first thing that comes along
Some people actually find it right away(very rare)
I wish her good luck and hope she's in that last group

Yer but she'll love him forever.
I'd say just wait until you both really want to get married, i personally dont think it's a good idea for young couples but if you can make it work thats great but surely your relationship works just fine with out a contract.
Also being married imparts many tax benefits to you and any children you plan on having, so not getting married actually puts you worse off.
