If you'd been around then and I said "hey you shouldn't have slaves that's wrong" you'd be bleating "the law says it's okay so it's okay" at me.

How do you know that in 50 years the law won't be changed to allow cat-kicking as a sport?

Thats also your opinion and again it's one society doesn't agree with.
Society decides whats wrong and right, thats all wrong and right are, the majority opinion.
