Why are people so amazed that the Xbox is NOT £400??? Microsoft know just as much about the industry as Sony. FULLSTOP.

And the fact that Microsoft have a competitively priced console, good second party games (Microsoft BOUGHT bungie so that Halo will be on Xbox... what about Sony?) and a very well built console. On top, they have huge marketting and a good list of supporting developers.

Of course, Sony didn't enter the market with all of the above and kill the competition?

And the reply to this topic:
OH NO! But it's made my MS! Kill Bill and all that!

Zeldapro has once again shown his foolishness by thinking that Microsoft sell PCs. WHAT!?!?!?! They don't.

"But Microsoft at the moment sell PC's for over a 1000 pounds so they could actually make it 400 pounds!"

errrr... what are u on????

How could they afford to make it £400 even if they did make Pcs... is there any logic here what-so-ever... can someone let me in on the joke?

Firstly, I agree with everything in the first part of the message! Some one get's my topic!

As for the second part, I have never said that Sony did not kill off people. Unless you have a) misinterrperetted me, or b) I made a typo, let it be known I did not intentionally say this!

Firts of all, it would not be realistic for Microsoft to put the Xbox on sale for anything higher than £300. Why? Well, if people would pay £300 for a PS2, then people would be willing to buy Xbox at £300. Of cousr let's not forget, that when Xbox does finally arrive in the UK, Sony will most likely drop the price of the PS2 in order to compete with Xbox. Sege did the same thing with the Dreamcast when the PS2 came out.
This brings me on to my next point. SonicRav, you said, that Sony didn't kill off any off the competition. Well, they certainly help Sega and the Dreamcast did they, and the PS2 was probably one of the main reasons for the Dreamcast demise.
