And the fact that Microsoft have a competitively priced console, good second party games (Microsoft BOUGHT bungie so that Halo will be on Xbox... what about Sony?) and a very well built console. On top, they have huge marketting and a good list of supporting developers.
Of course, Sony didn't enter the market with all of the above and kill the competition?
And the reply to this topic:
OH NO! But it's made my MS! Kill Bill and all that!

The PS2 will be no more feasible online than the DC... probably less so seeing as sony is showing a poor dev kit for online features at the moment.
And the idea of broadband PS2... how many UK homes have broadband??? Almost none!

Although they've stopped production there are still hundreds of thousands around the world wainting to be sold.
Also, just because they're not being sold any more, doesnt mean people dont still play them.
The DC will still be going strong into 2002.

Microsoft could suprise the gaming world if they did this, particularly if they make acess to the internet cheap through their machine. Currently Im online using NTL, all I pay is my telephone linerental and online time is free.
Since Microsoft has shares in NTL, it is possible that online acess and games could be cheap through the X-box.
Although the price of this could be to give you personal details to the most sucessful company on earth. Is it worth it, well to play cheaply online I may just sell my soul to Microsoft (figuratively speaking!).

One more thing, why has he decided to use

I think you'll find that when the PSX came out it was the same spec as a high end PC (in terms of delivering graphics it was unbelievable for its day).
If the PS2 were to be released at the same time as the Xbox, due to all the newer hardware available it would be the same spec as the Xbox at the same price... it's just a matter of the Xbox being produced later, therefore being able to buy better components at the lower price.
And one thing I cannot stress enough- consoles are sold for less than their worth. The way people like sony make money is by licencing games on the consoles. Although a PSX now costs £16 to make (or so it has been claimed) when it was made originally it cost a hell of a lot more! It was using the worlds most advanced graphical chip and processing functions.
To give an example of how this is important... after the N64 was released at £250, nintendo realised that in the face of the PSX this was too high. So they dropped the price to £150... which made a huge loss in the short term- but the licences in the long term were huge! Esp. on making carts!

>Who was it who said 'by the way who is

I think that should be their tagline, if it were smaller...
Classic quotes worthy of George Bush, methinks.
But it is subject to change.
Who was it who said 'by the way who is BTW'?
Try reading that again if you're being serious!

I'd have thought it more likely to be one hundred and fourty-nine pounds and ninety nime pennys...
