COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT:

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. A big thank you to those that took time to enter. A winner will be announced soon. Watch this space...

Glad you're still watching! Very sorry for the delay - there were some really good comments and suggestionss. A big thank you to everybody that took part!

The winner is (drum roll...) er-no! Thanks once again for all your valuble work.

Remember to enter all our other great competitions we have running at the moment.

We've made lots of changes to our Product Search facility.

As most of you will remember we had a very successful Gameaday competition on this a few months ago which was won by Meka_Dragon.

Now that most of the suggested changes have been implimented I would like us to do it again.

This one closes on June 7th

The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.

If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.

If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.

Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.

I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.

I think that it's when you type in a game name and the official cheatbook comes up as well. I usually click on the cheatbook instead of the game.

Maybe you could have a section at ukcheats.com that takes you into a specialised search ONLY for cheatbooks and walkthroughs.

I think you should do the closest match for some words such as when I searched for Final Destination I mispelt it final destinaton without the i at the end. Nothing came up.. maybe make it go for the nearest match? I know you say be less specific but still it saves time if someones written this out and it works.

I also searched for romantic comedy - nothing! There is loads of them I should be able to find. There is romantic drama.. but that's all.

I tried searching for a very long time but these were the only ideas/problems I got.

Those links underneath the search engine box… Cheats, Charts, Dates, Etc… Seem to return related info… (E.G. Cheats - Action Replay, etc). However, they don’t return any links to the cheat engine, or the charts engine, etc..

I know it’s kinda obvious to click the link rather than search… but I have been to a few sites and completely missed the link in front of me…

Also the side panel links, especially if I enter stuff like UKGames, discussions, etc. The search engine returns a no result message.

I know there not products, I just think it would be pretty cool to be able to search for parts of the site (which although not actually a product could be added in an extra ‘Site’ table or something?)

Search for PS2 and the Microsoft Intellieye explorer mouse appears, I've got one of these and they do not work with my PS2. Just thought i'd let you know before someone buys one and gets upset.
