COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT:

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. A big thank you to those that took time to enter. A winner will be announced soon. Watch this space...

Glad you're still watching! Very sorry for the delay - there were some really good comments and suggestionss. A big thank you to everybody that took part!

The winner is (drum roll...) er-no! Thanks once again for all your valuble work.

Remember to enter all our other great competitions we have running at the moment.

We've made lots of changes to our Product Search facility.

As most of you will remember we had a very successful Gameaday competition on this a few months ago which was won by Meka_Dragon.

Now that most of the suggested changes have been implimented I would like us to do it again.

This one closes on June 7th

The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.

If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.

If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.

Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.

I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.

I have discovered a problem with pokemon snap, stadium, stadium 2 etc........ (all pokemon games) if you use the proper e, é which i and my friends use when writing pokemon the search engine draws a blank... mystery?

Especially as it is how you guys write it!

Rare calls Conkers Bad Fur day Conkersbfd, conkers bfd etc... i think the search engine should make that work, same with CBFD because Conekrs bad fur day is a long title! People do take short cuts i am pleased conker works though!

GCube is what youc all the Gamecube on that little blue bar but it doesn't work in the search engine i think that should!

Same with GBoy

I think "banjo kazooie games" should work!

When i put in consoles for all catagories PS2 comes up, TV boy and so does PS1 but no N64... Why? I think it should be there!

I have noticed Banjo kazooie is frequently spelt wron as banjo kazzoie, If this is commonley mispelt then maybe it should be in the search engine (i tend to spell it like that)

I searched for AMD and guess what appeared, Big Daddy on DVD. A closer look showed the leading actor's name was spelled Adam Samdler, this would be why it appeared. But hes called Adam Sandler.

P.S. I know i'm clutching at straws, but it is a mistake.

the search has to be more sharp like if someone does a mistake or shortens the word it should pick it up.
