I was reading in New Statesman Magazine... The recon that nearly 1/3 of the White British Population in the next General Election will vote either BNP or UKIP, as they believe that New Labour have given very little to the British People... instead more money goes to imigrants. Even today those 4 terrorists are being allowed back into the UK.. SCREW THAT... should have left them at Cuba. I'm not a facist, but I can see their point about controlling imigration, you have not got the slightest clue who the hell the people are coming in; they might bomb a school (like what happened in Russia), or commit acts of evil things against the British citizens.

Yep, Britian is and has under-produced doctors and therefore the NHS clearly only survives on IMMIGRANTS.

My guess is because being a medical student in Britain costs a hell of a lot of money and takes a lot of time, so not that many people do it. That's why the NHS has to import doctors from the rest of the world.
The majority of the doctors at my hospital aren't from Britain.
I wonder if, in his bid to deport all immigrants and stop anymore coming in, kevstar would include white europeans in that. My guess is that a large proportion of immigrants into the UK come in from developed countries having been relocated in large multinationals. These people most definitely DO contribute to our economy, and removing them would cause massive gaps in our workforce.
I know that if immigration was capped as much as you seem to want it to be, kevstar, you'd be the first to complain that no one was collecting your rubbish anymore, and that you couldn't get served in the supermarket, and that your bus to school didn't run anymore.
Your argument in brief:
-services are stretched
-this is because there are too many darkies around leeching off our benefit system and then sending the money back home
-to prevent further stretching we should stop new people coming into the country and ship out those that are already here
-only british natives should be allowed to walk our streets because they're virtuous and hardworking and not job stealing scumbags

What would actually happen is that, without all the working immigrants we would have more old, non working people than working people. This is a top heavy structure and cannot survive. As I'm sure you are aware, it is elderly people who place the greatest strain on the health and benefit services, as they do not earn any money and need looking after. The NHS would collapse as there would be less doctors and nurses to staff it and less money coming in from the government.
So, to solve your paranoia about our stretched system, would you suggest that we ship off everyone who reaches retirement to a leper colony and leave them there, so we don't have to provide for them anymore?
And, also, kevstar, imagine that Britain was struck by civil war and it was no longr safe to live here. So you pakc up shop and to go and live in America, or France, or Australia, but, because they don't like immigrants, they all say "no thanks we don't want you", and you have to stay where you are, and you and your family slowly starve and die.

It's got nothing to do with skin colour, more to do with certain areas of the world having different customs to ours. Or then you could bring in Sociology that says there is a higher percentage of black youths involved with crime but when you think of why this is? And the answer (is probably) that they live in more deprived areas due to a number of reasons etc.
Like it might be the case that a higher percentage of immigrants try to get more out the benefits system. Is it greed? Or is it that they are still poor and the system doesn't actually fulfil their needs, baring in mind that they are most probably earning the minimum age.

I beleive that the current situation with benefits is caused by the reliance and abuse of the Welfare State nowadays... mainly due to the Thatcher period. A complex situation where it was torn apart but Thatcher created a society that demanded more out of it without putting anyway into it.

I think I'll be worried about stats appearing that would force me to change my views about ethnicity, race, religion, sexual preference etc. Well maybe not religion, that's down to personal views anyway, so it'll obviously have an effect.

What I'm trying to get at really, what if there were numbers and figures linking the colour of someone's skin to the way they behaved, and what if people took this as something further than coincidence? It's terrifying to think that to show that difference might be found between skin colour, birthplace, or whatever, could cause people to believe that there truly could be some way of predicting what a person will be like, or become.
And while the figures could indeed be interesting to us, if used for those that are impressionable, statistics and figures of this kind could be used to further encourage racial hatred among people. Which is a damn shame because I love reading statistics, especially non-serious ones.

Opinion polls should never, EVER, have an affect on YOUR opinion. All it can tell you is what the majority of people think, not what's RIGHT to think, and that's something that shouldn't need to be explained to people. Factual polls should be taken to mind, but never completely trusted, as is the beauty of human diversity. Which also reminds me of another topic I meant to write.
