Went really well, wasn't nervous, and even ad-libbed on loads of bits. Was a Christmas/New Year/Leaving party for the singer's work. Did loads of 60's and 70's rock songs, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves which is the important thing. Guitarist made a few fluffs, but I think he'd had a bit to drink to calm his nerves. Drummer was amazing, never seen him play as confidently as that. Every beat was perfect, considering he hits his hi-hat thousands of times, and makes loads of rolls, he didn't even drop at all. I didn't make any mistakes either, but I only played bass as a favour (even though I added my own little tricks to songs). Good night, good atmosphere, good songs, good company - can't ask for more really. We ro>

It's a step-up from the (I wish I was joking) pots and pans we used to use in his garage. One amp between the two of us and no singer. We were, and still are, band-for-hire-on-a-budget. I couldn't even use my normal amp - it broke three hours before we went on because it was so old and crappy. And I borrowed the bass from someone and one of the pot covers was missing.
The place was a dive, which is quite fitting really.

You have Steve The Pirate from Dodgeball on drums!
It looks like the Phoenix Club.

Was just playing bass for a favour. The guitarist plays 24/7, and is more bothered about not playing than me, so I let him do all the songs - we were going to do half each originally. He is really, realy good though, I'm still a few years of practice behind him. The singer has been in a few other bands before, and we all rocked about - just the pictures don't really show that.

hehe, that's just the same 5 pictures looped over and over!!!! :)
for a first gig, the singer looks quite confident, not just "hiding" behind the stand but wandering about and stuff :)
looks like fun, next time get a pit going!

Not that interesting actually, that's me and the missus in the first one. For some reason the drummer dressed as a hybrid pirate-Mexican bandit. We do smile, honestly...just not when any of these 60-odd pictures were taken...
