In 2 weeks he's made two wrestlers look pathetic by powering out of one finisher after it had been clamped in and making Benoit look like nothing (what's wrong with using the ropes to break the hold and then let him fight back and unleash his finisher?) and kicking straight out of Rhyno's gore.
The best type of push is to make the wrestler look strong while not making the guys he's going over look pathetic, which has happened in both instances. I've always thought it an unwritten rule in wrestling that if you get hit with the guy's finisher and he pins you straight away you don't get back up out of it because for every person that gets pinned by that finisher from there on it makes them also look pathetic to the other guy.
And another example of more great creative decisions when you have a Cruiserweight title match going on yet the camera is on some guy outside the ring for half of the match. It devalues the belt (although we all know what Vince thinks of anyone under 6 foot 3) and makes those 2 wrestlers seem like nothing even though both Funaki and Akio have more talent in their little finger then Carlito has in his whole body and afro.
God how has the WWE not gone out of business yet?
The Maven, Benjamin match was a joke, in fact the whole feud was a joke because Maven is crap altogether. Apparantly they'd been working a few dark matches which hadn't recieved very good reports so they decided to go with a gimmick match. Shouldn't have started the feud in the first place.
And the Elimination Chamber was decent enough, meh to the result, and meh to Benoit getting eliminated early, but pretty solid.
All in all, the Elimination Chamber wasn't bad, but it didn't detract from the PPV being absolutely dire. When are things going to get better I ask...
no commentary made it even MORE boring to watch, which was clever enough in itself.
elimination chamber was ok. HHH's commentary seeds are as predictable as his wins/retains now "omg king, the game's bleeding.. the cerebral asassin is bleeding profusely"... *yawn* doesn't he always?
well, on the bright side of things, at least PPV's can't get any worse this year, there's your silver lining people.

don't get me started on that, they give them about a 6 second match (2 matches actually) while giving crap like King vs Hassan over 5 minutes (which was so exciting the crowd were dead throughout it) Benjamin deserves far better than that but hey god forbid we should have a decent wrestler getting proper tv time

after powering out of the crossface which is what i'm talking about

Well, it goes something like this, Batista cunningly befriends Triple H and becomes his legit locker-room enforcer, kinda like JBL is for 'taker. Batista has a word with his mate HHH about maybe getting him a push. Trips lets Steph know this is what he wants. Steph whines to Daddy until she gets her own way.
In other words exactly the same way that 99.9% of the WWE's creative decisions are made.
well, i don't know about you, but if i were maven, i'd be wondering why i bother showing up for work in the morning.

***warning!! spoiler***
after doing a great job of drawing heat from the crowd and cutting a fairly long promo, he legs it back to the ring and gets immediately caught in a cradle. pinfall.
"no, no... that doesn't count" he continues and challenges Shelton to rematch, shelton runs in, hits the t-bone on a FRESH maven (c'mon, they were both fresh, nothing happened in this match whatsoever) and pins him again in 5 seconds.
utter dross.

compared to michael cole, a blind mute is extremely good.
Yawn.
Admittedly, I'd of much preferred to have Carlito interfere in the above match than a nice Cruiser match, but he was funny. :D
"I have lots of hair...lots of cool hair."
It'd be ok if JR and the King were doing the same but they aren't. It just makes Cole look all needy trying to convince people Smackdown is the better show (which it clearly is)
