In 2 weeks he's made two wrestlers look pathetic by powering out of one finisher after it had been clamped in and making Benoit look like nothing (what's wrong with using the ropes to break the hold and then let him fight back and unleash his finisher?) and kicking straight out of Rhyno's gore.
The best type of push is to make the wrestler look strong while not making the guys he's going over look pathetic, which has happened in both instances. I've always thought it an unwritten rule in wrestling that if you get hit with the guy's finisher and he pins you straight away you don't get back up out of it because for every person that gets pinned by that finisher from there on it makes them also look pathetic to the other guy.
And another example of more great creative decisions when you have a Cruiserweight title match going on yet the camera is on some guy outside the ring for half of the match. It devalues the belt (although we all know what Vince thinks of anyone under 6 foot 3) and makes those 2 wrestlers seem like nothing even though both Funaki and Akio have more talent in their little finger then Carlito has in his whole body and afro.
God how has the WWE not gone out of business yet?

Having said that though, the Japanese worship Bob Sapp, and Hogan and Goldberg both still get a huge reactions over there...so they are not totally impervious to over-rated rubbish.

It was Japan though. The sad thing is that HHH and Batista would get a decent sized pop almost anywhere else in the world. Sad because the 'casual fan' has no taste.

Indeed, especially seeing as the Japanese are usually a quiet people it makes the ovation even more crazy.

How over was Tajiri though? He got an amazing recetpion and at least the WWE didn't do the same thing that they did to Regal with him not winning the Tag Titles when they were in Britain when he was super-over. The only piece of sensible booking on the show.
Hopefully Smackdown will go the same with with Kenzo getting a decent match and Akio taking the CW title off Smackdown No #67th rated wrestler/#1 announcer.
Well, I can dream...

Can't help but think that would have bombed in the USA as well. The only logical outcome of the segment was to set up a match between Nov...sorry Simon and the King. But no...even that didn't happen making the whole thing a total and utter pointless waste of TV time and everyone's lives.

Not only a rubbish angle but one that has already been done 387,908,893,001 times in wrestling already. (Figure is an approximation)

AND I'll add to this list, Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho, the one match that went down well with the mainly purist Japanese crowd, so why in the blue hell was it on first? The rest of the show seemed flat and pointless after that.
The all american diva contest. Simple question, Why? The King's 'jokes' go over about as well as a fart in a lift going up to the top floor in a 100 storey building to an ENGLISH audience so having him do his brand of 'comedy' to an Japanese audience wasn't exactly the smartest thing in the world, especially to then have Nova come out and have him jaw-jack with him for a few minutes. It was painfully obvious the Japanese fans had no idea what was going on, hence the deadly silence only broken up when Akebona stood up. The only reason to have this contest would have been if they were dressed up in schoolgirl outfits or cosplay things. Blooming pointless especially when you consider they could have used that 5-10 minutes for the Benoit vs Jericho match. (Still Victoria's hot pants, damnnnnnnnn, baby got back :-D)
Randy Orton's concussion nonsense, it's a crap angle and it's given to a crap over-rated wrestler, not the best combination in the world.
Nice to see being in one of the best countries for wrestling didn't do anything for the creative team
hardly anything at NKR made sense.

On the subject of which, why did they wait until after the match to send the Coach out to do commentary? Surely the Coach should have been sent out to commentate on this match, as the Coach is better than silence...
