I have about a limited wannabe's knowledge of guitars, like I know what guitar I've got and that it's a strat and stuff but; what the hell are these things/what do they do:
Pick-up
Redresss the frets
Grub screws
Tone Pot
Also, anyone know any places on the web that tell you how to play?
Ican struggle my way through tabs but that's about it. No money can be expended by the way.
:)

i assure you that's drummers ;)
p.s - so far, magical trevor = plank.

The Bass' place is sort of the blend, keeping the rythm rather than singing the tune, but that's no excuse for root notes, and there's no need to stick to one simple riff either.
There's still some playing to be done, even if it's to be kept subtle.
Anyone heard any Stone Roses?
Made of Stone?
I am the Ressurection?
Something Burning?
A lot can be done with a Bass that most "Rock" bands don't understand.
I think most Bass players see it as the "one note" guitar...

I'm not saying it's boriung, but generally, they are, hence why they get the least attention in a band.

No WAY is One the 7th best solo ever.

I like it more, you can appreciate exactly what they're doing when you listen to it.
Though, I shall be buying an Epiphone SG soon and start up again. Possibly a new amp as well.
Me at store: Hmm. How much for a decent wah-wah pedal?
Guy: Over £50 easy for a good one.
Me: Hmmm. A tremolo?
Guy: over £15 easy.
Me: Balls. Oh well.
*oh yeah. Need to pick up amp from cousin*
Me to cousin: Hi.
Cousin: Hi. Oh yeah. I found some stuff in a shoe box.
Me: Like what?
Cousin: look.
Me: Holy s**t. A Cry Baby wah-wah and 2 tremolos and some other electrical stuff. Sweet!
:D
You can thank me later.
