If a tree falls in the woods and no-one's around to hear it, does it make a sound?
THere might be an earthquake going on somewhere where there's no people around righ tnow, but since no-one's there to see it, we won't know.
If there was nobodyliving around that area of Asia, we wouldn't know if it really had happened.
