At what point did screaming "i'm the only gay in the village" make for hilarious viewing? pure bull.
the only thing in little britain i ever at anypoint found amusing was the pikey girl. It was related well to real life and was done pretty well and was amusing the first time you saw it, maybe even the second time. But after that its limited comical value was worn out.
I appreciate that the BBC feels obliged to waste as much of the licence fee as it humanly can, and that bigging up little britain in some way seems to justify the existence of BBC 3, but lets be honest it is bullcrap of the highest order.
I am more than happy to watch mindless crap, low budget productions, hardly any subject is taboo with me, I am a pisshead student for godsake! but this has to be the most over rated programme in the history of television, not clever, not witty, and shitte. those awards better not have been voted for, otherwise this country is in a worse state than i thought (and i am an optimist!)

Or ... or ... perhaps, just perhaps, they were making a comedy sketch.
Oh my God! A guy in a wheelchair! How very racist.

and that the rest of the village is, in fact, gay of course.
tha's kind of the overriding gag.
Little Britain is ok, it has it's moments, but a lot of it's material doesn't stand up to a 2nd (or 3rd, tops) viewing. Funny once, but not worth getting on dvd or anything, i say the same for the office as well.

absolutely, all because they have a higher calibre of script and material. a majority of those have involved Chris Morris in some way, clearly demonstrating to all who didn't know that he's sheer brilliance :)

Seriously? It's hard to miss considering it's repeated five times every night on BBC 3.

That's pretty much all Little Britain is too.
I can't stand Bo'Selecta though. The whole show's like one big long unfunny catchphrase, it just sucks so freaking badly.

no thats not the issue I wish it was! I'm not waging my one man war against the world and am a pretty mainstream kind of guy. I like my humour light hearted, enjoy slapstick comedy and witty satire yet i find none of these present in little Britain. If i constantly tried to make individualist comments and pretend to hate all things mainstream or popular than fair play, but if i just ignore it then the issue isn't raised and its quite a pertinent issue, as the program is pretty crap and is getting ridiculous levels of praise which seems to me to be completely unjustified.

Heh. Not being with Mrs Light at Xmas has led to my wanting to kill people...

M'kay, fair enough; least you're not claiming it's anything more than your opinion, and I can't argue with that.
