OMG it's 4.10am and my animation is still rendering :( i still have to put all my mocies together and add music. Then at 8.20am get up and walk in to uni for a 4 hour lecture in which a very tired me will present my animation.

It's all been going wrong here. My 'copy' of premiere has funked up it won't let me use the mpeg 4 codec that i have to use. Now using virtual dub to put them together but this means no fading transitions :( . One of my renders failed twice which means i have to leave it out.

My presentation is a critical review of my project so far. (so far it's looking shoddy) They are going to rip me apart :( i mean yeah the smoke and the lighting rocks but cause of teh transitions i'm screwed. I was on a first for the project so far now this is going to bring me down to like a 2.1 then i just gotta hope the final version gets me another first.

My brain hurts. I have learnt that 3d animation is too unstable to leave to the night before. Theres a lesson there kidds.

If i get the time tomorrow i will post a link to my animation. It's only 30 seconds and it's for a bbc-i channel Spark. Which i happen to do student stuff for.

Well off to finish it all. Had a rant feel abit better head hurts though.

RAM helps so much with rendering.

Your only in to bryce now cause of that kid who worked on revolutions :P

Although bryce is a bloody good program, I have kinda got used to Max now so don't really fancy a change, i have used it once or twice, i think i made a valley or something like that.

People in my thread, this is unheard of

Grix that was epic, i liked it although i now worry about your mental health and weather you should be allowed even safty scissors let alone a computer.

I wanted it to break out in to a gunfight on a dusty wild-west town but insted i got a big eye ball and a cube with sheep on.

I officially LOVE Bryce. It's amazing. Shame it takes so long to render, even on my fairly decent laptop. Getting more RAM soon though, might speed it up.

So far I've made: a camera zooming round a tree; a camera zooming round a mountain range; camera going between moutain tops in the clouds; spaceship going round a volcano, then back out the other side past the camera; a meteor crashing into the sea (no splash effects though).

Next I'm going to build a small virtual city and do Spider-man style sweeps through the streets.

Argh - 10% of a 6 second animation of a spaceship flying round and island in the sea, then back past the camera. I fudged the camera, and it's 640x480! Gonna take ages...

animation I did years ago, pretty much the first one I ever did, was part of something about 45-1h long at the time but got wiped.

Yo, I downloaded Bryce3D (which I fully intend to buy, because it rocks). Just rendering something now, but it takes ages!

hmm i am just rendering now and it's a bit of a mess to be honestm i mean it will get me a 1st but it's not a aniamtion i am proud of. i only started wokr on it today at 10am and it shows.

Shame i didn't spend more time on it really as the idea is quite good the modelling is just really basic. but because the unit is about how well the product fits the clients demands i will get a high mark.

I might re-do this one some time with proper lighting like my short had before, this one looks pretty crappy.

splendiddio sir, be good to see those things moving for longer than the short you clip you had before.

i'm in the final stages of refining my scenes before the monsterous renders occur, it's looking pretty cool though :D

Blimey haven't checked this thread in a while.

I am working on a project right now, it will be finished friday afternoon and i will upload to my site or to my filecloud account.

1 minute scene of vines travelling through a building, smashing through doors and taking over in general.

not too shabby!! i'm just loving the thought of the final 12 second monster shot :)
