OMG it's 4.10am and my animation is still rendering :( i still have to put all my mocies together and add music. Then at 8.20am get up and walk in to uni for a 4 hour lecture in which a very tired me will present my animation.

It's all been going wrong here. My 'copy' of premiere has funked up it won't let me use the mpeg 4 codec that i have to use. Now using virtual dub to put them together but this means no fading transitions :( . One of my renders failed twice which means i have to leave it out.

My presentation is a critical review of my project so far. (so far it's looking shoddy) They are going to rip me apart :( i mean yeah the smoke and the lighting rocks but cause of teh transitions i'm screwed. I was on a first for the project so far now this is going to bring me down to like a 2.1 then i just gotta hope the final version gets me another first.

My brain hurts. I have learnt that 3d animation is too unstable to leave to the night before. Theres a lesson there kidds.

If i get the time tomorrow i will post a link to my animation. It's only 30 seconds and it's for a bbc-i channel Spark. Which i happen to do student stuff for.

Well off to finish it all. Had a rant feel abit better head hurts though.

Yeah i forgot to turn off the shadows on that smoke. I think the smoke needs a bit of work but it was adapted from a tutorial for cigerette smoke and thats why it looks kind simple. I could do with more movement on the smoke and for it to come out of it not just be there.

The blob was an attempt at creating a spark but it has to be changed and needs to be made less round. I am going to add particales to it that they will glow and fall away from it as it travels around.

Unfortunatlly the 'spark' as it is, looks alot better close up and kinda naff when far away.

Smoke effect from the burnt computer seems simplisitc... also, smoke doesn't form shadows.

And what was that blob thing in the latter half?

Thanks but i would like some helpfull hints on improvements if you have any. Visual improvements and animation comments are more important the music needs proper editing. But thats not really anything big. there will be better tansitions between the scenes in the finished version.

Everyones being so nice in the last day or so, i guess when the coke adverts started on tv everyne relised it's christmas and go in a friendly spirt. (Although i have no doubt someone will be nasty now to prove me wrong)

It's very good... I could pick at it... but I'm not really sure how I would go about critising it, considering I could do nothing like what you've done, nor have I really seen any other animations so erm... I'll stick with just saying "It's fantastic :D".

Hmmm... funky white nucleus thing.

It's my first ever animation remeber when you see it and that it still has alot of work to be done. My tripod page is trying to upload it at the moment but having problems. I am studying media technology at lincoln university. (but at the hull campus)
