It's all been going wrong here. My 'copy' of premiere has funked up it won't let me use the mpeg 4 codec that i have to use. Now using virtual dub to put them together but this means no fading transitions :( . One of my renders failed twice which means i have to leave it out.
My presentation is a critical review of my project so far. (so far it's looking shoddy) They are going to rip me apart :( i mean yeah the smoke and the lighting rocks but cause of teh transitions i'm screwed. I was on a first for the project so far now this is going to bring me down to like a 2.1 then i just gotta hope the final version gets me another first.
My brain hurts. I have learnt that 3d animation is too unstable to leave to the night before. Theres a lesson there kidds.
If i get the time tomorrow i will post a link to my animation. It's only 30 seconds and it's for a bbc-i channel Spark. Which i happen to do student stuff for.
Well off to finish it all. Had a rant feel abit better head hurts though.

.. i admire (and remember) your dedication :)
this kinda stuff gets all consuming when there's somehting you wanna try doesn't it?
Plus i'll then have to re-do it in the german way to see if i haev worked out what to do right from the pictures as i can't read the blooming instructions.
Will probably be late afternoon today now for the new animation. remember this scene is more about he lighting just did the bullet time cause i thought i'd give it a whirl but now i wish i haddn't as it's taken so long.

I know what you mean this type of things all the rage at the moment but this was more made to get a good grade for editing and techniques. Plus my tutor has been dieing for us to produce something thats not just a funny film as so many students take the easy way out and produce something with cheap laughs. (me included in that)
just rendering a new animation, it's a test of sunlight in a room, also has bullet time just to see if it worked like the tutorial said.
will probably be up on my website before you read this.

Arranged to film on top of the university building it's about 9 stories high. then just pointed the camera in the direction of the sunset. The footage was a minute then we used a timewarp in editing to play the whole thing in around 4 seconds.
Alot of people say they like it :D or at least not too much negative stuff.
i like the clouds at the beginning.. how did you create that sequence??
is this a student film?? it REALLY looks like one.
green lighting, shot of empty booze bottle, some string music. it all looks like an episode of most haunted :D
so yeah, nicely done, but a bit contrived.
glad the compression advice was helpful!
Just adding a title sequence and then putting it up on my webiste will be around 6 meg i think. will probably re-do my animation using that option. shows how much i use premiere :(
thanks alot
EDIT: please go here to download the film

there's a tab where you can set a maximum file size and it'll try and get as close as possible.
not really any quality loss either, well not noticible at any rate, and it's only the res that changes.
