It's all been going wrong here. My 'copy' of premiere has funked up it won't let me use the mpeg 4 codec that i have to use. Now using virtual dub to put them together but this means no fading transitions :( . One of my renders failed twice which means i have to leave it out.
My presentation is a critical review of my project so far. (so far it's looking shoddy) They are going to rip me apart :( i mean yeah the smoke and the lighting rocks but cause of teh transitions i'm screwed. I was on a first for the project so far now this is going to bring me down to like a 2.1 then i just gotta hope the final version gets me another first.
My brain hurts. I have learnt that 3d animation is too unstable to leave to the night before. Theres a lesson there kidds.
If i get the time tomorrow i will post a link to my animation. It's only 30 seconds and it's for a bbc-i channel Spark. Which i happen to do student stuff for.
Well off to finish it all. Had a rant feel abit better head hurts though.

Thanks
Nice to see someone else posting in this thread it's pretty much been me and Very_Metal talking for most of it.
i thought bullet time was going to be really complex and involved and interesting... apparantly not :D
1) stop everything moving
2) move camera around
3) set everything moving again
dammit, in that case, i've used "bullet time" loads without realising it.
damn i'm good.
Bullet time is made up of three sequences put together in a video editor although you could probably do it all in one scene. but i think it's easier doing it separate.
I tried using keyframes to pause it but Parrays don't work like that apperently :(.
You have to use a drag system to keep it held in one place but that means that you can't use a gravity modifier unless you use another drag system to stop that too. Or at least thats what i understood fom the german site.
Yeah i thought i should say thanks and acknoledge your help on the main site as otherwise i mite never have got the film down in size.
you've got a nice test environment, way more effort that i'd have made :)
the bullet time looks ace, can you post a link to the tutorial you used?
could you not pause a parray by keying the "explosion" values and halting it that way?
i like the smashing glass pic too.. and thanks for the acknowledgement on teh main page :)
